Assiniboine Glory

This commissioned work of art by Lucas Kratochwil, titled "Assiniboine Glory," is the third illustration in the "The Spirit of the Rockies" series. Because of its shape, Mount Assiniboine, a famous mountain in the Canadian Rockies, has been dubbed "The Matterhorn of the Rockies." A pristine winter morning is used to show this natural marvel. George M. Dawson gave Mount Assiniboine its name in 1885 due to the mountain's likeness to the Assiniboine Indigenous peoples' teepees.

Lucas Kratochwil is a skilled landscape painter. When creating his paintings, Kratochwil is recognized for his expertise and steady hand. View this piece on the third level of the hotel in the Foyer.
