The ART at Hyatt
Hyatt Regency Calgary has gained recognition for its impressive private collection of unique artwork ever since it opened in the year 2000. Beautiful displays of works by established and up-and-coming local artists can be found all over the hotel. We have the good fortune to have access to detailed knowledge about some of the works of art in our collection and the artists who produced them. They narrate tales of provenance and their astounding significance.
Our Building’s Rich History
On June 29, 1998, the foundation for the Hyatt Regency Calgary was officially laid. Its vision was to combine Calgary's dynamic frontier past with its exciting future. The hotel honours the five antique sandstone buildings that make up its façade in keeping with the notion of fusing the past and the present.
