Connection to Home

Neepin Auger is a Cree mother, artist, and educator. She is a Bigstone Cree Nation native of northern Alberta. She studied art under her father, Dale Auger, a well-known First Nations artist and the author of the acclaimed children's book Mwakwa - Talks to the Loon: A Cree Story for Children (Heritage House, 2006). Auger is a full-time teacher after receiving her degree from Mount Royal University's Department of Education and Schooling.
