Art on Main Level
The Arrowsmith Map, positioned behind the front desk, is the artwork that draws the most attention on the main level. It is a replica of the 1832 Arrowsmith Map, which was the first thorough map of all of Canada. It depicts the path taken by fur trade surveyors and cartographers, such as David Thompson, as they learned about Canada from its east to its west.
