Towards the Mountains, Longview, AB

This is a commission for a diptych, which is a pair of artworks that hang side by side in the Lineham Lobby. This painting, measuring 72" x 144", was the biggest Charlie Easton had ever done when it was completed in January 2020. This image, which was difficult to create on such a large scale. It depicts a breathtaking vista from Longview, Alberta, facing west towards the Rockies.

There are a total of four Easton pieces on display at Hyatt Regency Calgary. The fourth piece is "Mount Temple," which is on the 21st floor, and the third is "Mount Athabasca," which is also in the lobby.
